INTRODUCTION
|
|
| |
A less well understood purpose of
language itself is as a means for learning. The prime purpose of language as a
means of communicating thoughts via words implies that words themselves are
used to represent certain concepts as well as objects. |
|
| |
The words "life",
"love" and "death" are excellent examples of words that
have certain meanings. In this way, the very structure of the language provides
a framework for idea
association and therefore learning.
|
|
| |
A logically structured language can
greatly assist or hinder learning:
(eg one word = one meaning, similar sounding, or looking words have
similar meanings).
