of rules for usage. |

Various languages have applied different
complexity to rules, compared to the
characters of the language. |

The most useful languages are those where
the rules remain consistent
across a wide range of applications ( such as the language of mathematics).

In discussing the underlying purposes of
language, there are several underlying concepts that are not usually considered
deeply in terms of written language construction. |
