DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

Designing DA (symbols) needs to be consistent in terms of overall size.
In developing the standard symbol set, the following basic design considerations need to be taken into account:
12.2.1 Pixel size
Symbols are measured using pixels and should be saved in one version for standard 45 px x 45 px square.
12.2.2 Color
Symbols should be designed to be viewable in black and white in the first instance.
12.2.3 Resolution
Resolution is an issue with the first set of symbols, with a great number probably requiring greater improvement in resolution in the future. Generally speaking, resolution should be as high as practicable considering the size of the file needing to be small.
