Media has never been more economically powerful or all-pervasive as it is today. At the most important times of history, Media has stood as the eyes and ears of the people; and the standard bearers of truth to power. Not anymore. Multi-billion dollar Media companies have lost their way, so that Media has now become the willing censors of news; and the creators of fake news; and the news story itself. How did it come to this? That Media has become the willing agents of evil? Ultimately, it won’t necessarily be the owners of such companies that save the Media from themselves, nor the people stopping listening or watching, but those few journalists who are left and willing to take a stand.
